Highlands Center for Faculty Initiatives

 

*   Planning for the Conference on the Detection and Treatment of Child Sexual Abuse continues.  The program has been forwarded to Diane Crandall and Shelle Barron for final art work.  Correspondence with presenters initiated.

*   American Education Week planning continues

*   Procedure for CD duplication created.

 

CETP-PA:

 

*   Two potential news articles and the evaluation summary from the summer conference were forwarded to the IUP project office.

*   ~ 5 hours of work on the data base of students who have successfully completed a CETP-PA endorsed course

*   Evening of Science Activity files updated

*   Reservations made for ~140 students for the Evening of Science field trips

 

EVE:

*   Graphic designed for the Character Education Conference

*   Meeting scheduled for October 21st

 

IIC:

*   The Expository Writing Program at Harvard has approved duplication/sharing of the “Shaped by Writing” video.

 

UTL:

*   Leadership meeting with the Provost scheduled for October 22, 11:30 am.

*   Held meeting to discuss a “Resource Buffet” for new/newer faculty members.
