Highlands Center for Faculty Initiatives

 

*   Planning for the Conference on the Detection and Treatment of Child Sexual Abuse continues.  Mailing sent to IU #5 (~100 participants).  Additional 200 sent to local attorneys.  Approval for continuing legal education units was approved by Crawford C. CASA.

*   Mailing for Latin American Studies Conference sent to ~500+.

*   Met with Dr. Naomi Johnson re:  Neighborhood Forum leadership

*   American Education Week planning continues

*   Additional conversations initiated with the Art Department, Women’s History Month and the SSHE Women’s Commission regarding partnerships with upcoming programming.

*   Planning for the RAKE project continues.

*   Submissions closed for the Fall 2003 Values Newsletter

*   Survey under development for the Research Colloquium

*   Co-Director attended SafeNet Luncheon (Conference on the Detection and Treatment of Child Sexual Abuse was advertised in the luncheon program).

 

CETP-PA:

 

*   Developing mailing list for donations for the Evening of Science Activities

*   Planning a meeting for the Evening of Science Activities instructors.

 

EVE:

*   Finalized Character Education Conference documents.

 

UTL:

*   Invitation to Resource Buffet sent to 75 1st and 2nd year faculty members
